This embroidery, titled ‘ 4 Patches'      ‘ is a 
 
The design is printed on cotton fabric in a pale blue ink and shares my ethos #4theloveofstitch.
 
Designed during a summer holiday to Norfolk, it is inspired by the birds I saw on the water alongside my stylised 'flowers'
 
I hope you too can find a love of stitch as you enjoy stitching the design, adding your own stitched marks and creating your own unique patches.
 
In my own version I have stitched over all the lines, leaving none of the template visible. But this is personal preference. As is ‘going off piste’ and adding further stitching, as I have done in my own version.
 
The threads I have used are a range of single stranded threads in a range of colours
 
Once completed I left my version I applied the patches to items of clothing and incorporate them in other projects, but they could also be framed as a stand alone piece, I would suggest a box frame.
 
This template would also make a lovely gift for a fellow stitch-y friend.
