Spring is finally here and Viv Sliwka aka Hen's Teeth was the guest tutor for this weeks workshop. I have admired Viv's work for a long time so I, and a lovely group of ladies, were very excited to get underway creating our vintage inspired needle cases or covers.
After Viv showed us her beautiful collection of needle cases and of course her own work we were straight into collecting fabrics and bits and pieces ready to start laying down and stitching. It was lovely to let things flow and not to plan too much (which was a challenge for me lol) but by lunchtime we were all getting well under way.
It was lovely to have the opportunity to sit in the sunshine and have lunch before we carried on with our work. Our pieces were slowly coming together and I think that was one of the nicest things of the day. The opportunity to hand stitch and put a piece together at a lovely pace. At the end of the afternoon we shared the work we had created and I am sue you would agree they are all beautiful....
