This day will give you the opportunity to explore dyeing your own threads and create your own hand stitched piece of work presented in a hoop..

Working on the filling
This day will give you the opportunity to explore techniques for your own personal workbook / visual journal. We will explore presentation, doodling and ideas for your own personal book.

PRINT, COLLAGE & STITCH
We will explore a variety of printing techniques that we will then 'rip up', collage and stitched together to create a unique wall hanging.

Vintage textile hanging
Working with a range of fabrics, embellishments and hand stitching you will spend the workshop creating your own unique hanging.

Vintage fabric embroidery
In this workshop we will be working on vintage fabric to create a unique sample. Using hand dyed threads and a range of fabrics and trimming you will explore a range of hand stitching techniques to create your fabric embroidery.

This workshop is designed for the sewer that would like to explore 'free machining' for the first time or for those that would like to become more confident using their machine in this way.

STITCHED COLLAGE GARDENS
Inspired by the plants and flowers you see in the garden you will create a collage using paper and fabric
combined with machine and hand embroidery inspired by your own image.
Times: 10am - 4pm

PHD(project half done) days
These 'project half done' days are an opportunity for you to work on those projects that have been lurking in a box. Come along to Shed 76 &1/2, bring your project, equipment, lunch and spend the day getting things donealongside like minded people
£10 for a day session 10-3
All workshops are at Shed 76 1/2 in Brighouse HD6 3EL
WORKSHOP FOR YOUR GROUP
Option 1 ; I can come to your group to run a workshop.
Basic cost -
£300 for up to 15 people
+ Travel @45p per mile
If there are more than 15 people please contact me for additional costs
(but I prefer not to go over 20 people as this effects the quality of the workshop and personal experience.)

This talk will reveal the story of my journey and how I arrived where I am today. My inspiration, working progress through to the realisation of my stitched collage and other work.
'From recording to Stitched'
The talk will reveal how I make my work. From the initial walk, collecting my inspiration, through recording and experimenting, to the realisation of my stitched collage.
'Scary white paper and my sketchbooks'
A talk based on the background to my work focusing on the development of my workbooks and sketchbooks. I will give a brief introduction to my work and then go through the process I use in my books. Option for people to take part in a mini
sketchbook activity while I am doing the talk.
All talks are around 45 mins with time for Q&A and viewing my work afterwards
