Shed 76 & 1/2 is pleased to welcome Emily Notman again as a visiting tutor for a 2 day workshop on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March 2021 10-4pm in Brighouse HD6 3EL
Create your own textile vessel using contemporary mixed media techniques including dissolvable fabric, sculptural appliqué, machine embroidery and hand stitch. Be inspired by a favourite landscape as you choose your composition and colours.During the first day you will experiment with texture, construction hand stitch, paint, ink and dyes to ensure each piece is unique. You will start the 2nd day with a large collection of decorated and dyed fabrics to inspire your vase. Finish with optional machine stitch, decorative hand embroidery and layers.Each vase will be able to wrap around a glass to house a candle or flowers.
What is provided for you?
Emily will provide all your materials.
- However you may wish to bring along any special threads for hand stitching, buttons, beads or vintage haberdashery to embellish your piece.
- an apron or wear old clothes – it will be controlled...but messy (Emily will bring gloves and plastic sheeting)
- Sewing kit
Anne will provide tea and coffee through out the day.

If you cancel the place at least 1month before the date of the course you will receive a refund, but £10 admin fee will be kept for all cancellations.
If within 1month of the date I will only be able to give refund if I can fill the place.
If I cancel the course a full refund or alternative date will be offered.
