Shed 76 1/2 is welcoming Cathy aka' Dear Emma' again for a 2 day workshop making a project bag.
Until I started teaching workshops my idea of a project bag was simply an old plastic carrier bag. However it turns out that “proper sewers” make their own extra special bags, often made from their favourite scraps of fabric, lovingly designed so they could transport their ongoing project in style. I realised I had to up my game. I now own more project bags than is acceptable. Some are made using up pieces of work that I’ve disguarded but some that I’ve made especially.
This project bag measures 24 cm tall x 20cm dia with a round bottom base and handles. If you’d prefer a larger version, we can do that too. I will show you how to design your idea in fabric and show you step by step how to make up your bag. I will bring along lots of fabrics to use but if you’d like to use your own colour scheme please feel free to bring along some of your own fabric.
The workshop takes place 10-4 on both days at Shed 76 1/2 HD6 3EL.
Email Anne if you would like to be put on the reserve list if all places have gone.
